South Beach has a swanky new shop to call its own this week. Babalú Miami, the bright and beautiful brainchild of Greg Melvin and Paolo Ambu, will be filled with sassy eye candy and luxe products that range from jewelry and haute swim suits to scents and candles for the home. The pair culls their products from their wide-ranging interests and their travels. "Our travels absolutely inspire us!" remarks Melvin. "For instance, our jewelry evokes the beach mindset that we've experienced as we've enjoyed the lapping of the ocean or navigated through the hip urban grids of the oceanside towns we've visited." An uber-cool product that caught my eye is this series of notebooks (of course, at the top of our list is "Designers I Met and Liked") that include Artists, Celebrities, Architects and Fashionistas. With the range of products arrayed in the shop, Melvin and Ambu have all of the categories covered!
