Timeline Arrival Nears
Timeline is a new take on the kitchen by Matthew Berman and Andrew Kotchen, design principals of NYC-based Workshop/APD, for Aster Cucine. One of the most unusual features of the line is the white oak cabinetry treated with Venetian ceruse, a whitening compound used in the 16th-century on human skin and cabinetry (unless we see the designers walking around, ahem, a bit peaked, we'll assume it was just used on the cabinetry this time!). Other sensual materials used in the line are wire mesh, inspired by French country cabinets; antique mirrored glass; oxidized metal; weathered steel; and bronzed glass. The collection debuted at Eurocucina 2010 in Milan, and Urban Homes, Inc., will offer Timeline in New York City beginning in September. Thought you might want to make a mental note of the sexy new line, design devotees, especially my Blogger 19 pals!
