Rock Me, Baby!

Like a diamond in the rough, the new Foscarini light fixture, Rock, is among the offerings in the company's Successful Living from Diesel line, which is as playfully edgy as the Diesel's fashion offerings. The original Rock, which comes in a floor lamp and a hanging version, was black, while the newest release is a spritely white. Made of lacquered polycarbonate, the Rock is as durable as its namesake. See the whole gamut of wares created by the collaboration of these two iconic brands here. We'd like to start a little buzz here: the fixture will be included in the Showtime House, which will open on September 8 in New York City. Jeff Miller of ECCO Design chose to accent his interactive space, an homage to Hank Moody of Californication, with the Rock!

Modern Style in Classic Chandeliers

Poor lighting choices can kill an otherwise awesome design. At best, the wrong selection can bore you to tears and resemble a DIY trip to a big box retailer. All too often, the final decisions get pushed to the end of a project and are not properly integrated with the design aesthetic as a complete picture. I am in love with the following chandeliers recently researched for a new project. They exude the right amount of classic style but are edgy enough to add modern personality. And, best news; none of them carry a break-the-bank price tag! If you want pricing or sourcing information on any of these beauties, leave a comment with the image number below and we'll get you the information.
